| What is the ICDL? |
The International Computer
Driving Licence (ICDL) was established as
a result of the success of the European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) in Europe, an internationally recognized qualification in core IT skills (ICDL is recognized in 150 countries).
Accredited by computer societies worldwide, it consists of seven modules; Basic
Concepts of IT, Using the Computer and Managing Files, Word Processing, Spreadsheets,
Databases, Presentations and Information & Communication. The licence is
awarded once a test in each of the seven modules has been passed and 9 million log books have been sold to date. It confirms
the holder has up-to-date computer skills.
