Electric Paper Page:
Electric Paper Course Manager
is a learning management system, which offers a completely integrated
solution for the delivery and management of Electric Paper’s
training and assessment materials.
What are the benefits
of a Learning Management System?
- Delivers and manages online
learning
- Measures the return on investment
- Evaluates skill levels
- Manages learning cycles
Key Features of Course
Manager
Assigning Courses
Courses can be assigned to
students using the roster and enrolment functions. This enables
trainers to control and manage student-learning cycles as they
can only access courses that have been assigned to them.
Delivering Training
Course Manager provides trainers
with two delivery options, LAN and WAN, thereby enabling them
to deploy training to staff across diverse geographical locations.
Storing Results
All student records are stored
in a central database. This provides for an easier and less
expensive administration process.
Tracking Progress
Course Manager’s tracking
capabilities enable trainers to measure student performance
and to evaluate student skill level at both assessment and course
levels.
Reporting Student Progress
The Reporting feature provides
complete data on rosters, enrolments, courses and student progress.
It provides trainers with a means of evaluating the effectiveness
of the training and measuring the return on investment.
Key Features of Course
Manager
Reports
Course Manager provides two reporting options:
A fixed report, which is a
weekly assessment report by class displayed by graphs.
A custom report that provides
comprehensive data on rosters, enrolments, progress in courses
and assessments with numerous filters including course completion,
scores, dates and elapsed time.
Access Levels
Course Manager has 3 levels of access: administrator, supervisor
and student.
Administrators can set up other
supervisors, register classes and students, enrol classes and
students in modules/assessments, delete and edit records and
generate reports.
Supervisors can enrol classes
and students in modules/assessments, delete and edit records
and generate reports for the classes and students the administrator
has assigned them to.
Students can access the modules
and assessments that they have been enrolled on.
Import Tool
Course Manager contains an Import Tool that enables you to import
student data from a text (.txt) file.
Web Technology
Course Manager uses web technology, which essentially means
that it runs through a browser. This means that you will need
a web server to host it and a web browser on each client machine
to access it.
Database Options
All student data is held on a central database. Course Manager
offers you the option of running one of two databases, i.e.
Access or SQL Server.
With Access you will need a web server, which comes standard
with Windows 2000/NT. With SQL server you will need a web server,
which comes standard with Windows 2000/NT and a SQL server.
